About McRee Ford

          On April 15, 1947 Frank McRee opened the doors to his first dealership, McRee Ford in Dickinson, Texas.  Mr. McRee had been a long-time employee of Ford Motor Company, and opening his own dealership had always been a dream of his.  He knew that it would take more than making the next sale to build a strong business foundation; it would take customer satisfaction and follow through after each sale.  Mr. McRee settled for nothing less than personal commitment and genuine interest in each customers needs. Mr. McRee surrounded himself with employees that held his same beliefs regarding customer service.  Shortly after the dealership opened, William “Bill” Dale joined his father-in-law full time in the family business.  In 1970, Mitchell Dale joined his father and grandfather at the dealership.   In order to serve more of Galveston County, the family management felt a need to move the dealership from its original location to the newly expanded freeway running between Galveston and Houston.  In April 1976, McRee Ford opened the doors at 2800 Gulf Freeway, in Dickinson.    

          Following Mr. McRee’s death in 1983, Bill Dale became President of McRee Ford.  His son Mitchell Dale took his place as Vice-President and General Manager.  In 1998, Michael Dale joined his twin brother and father at the family business.   Today, the fourth generation has joined the dealership in various capacities.  Mitchell’s daughter, Molly Dale Crow is the Operations Manager of McRee Ford and Senior Manager of Bay Area Auto and Truck Rental.  His son Carter Dale is the Fixed Operations Director.  His son-in-law, Dain Crow, joined the family business in 2000 and today is the General Sales Manager of McRee Ford.   

          In 1998, Dale Holdings Inc. was formed for future expansion and to serve a larger area of customers with the same commitment to customer satisfaction.  In December 1998, the Company acquired Chuck Miller Ford in the Clear Lake area.  The dealership was renamed Bay Area Ford, and operated until November 2006 when it was consolidated into the McRee Ford location in Dickinson. In 1999, McRee Ford, Bay Area Ford, Bay Area Auto and Truck Rental, and Bay Area Financial Services merged with Dale Holdings, Inc.  In October of 2000, Bay Area Accessories was established to support the dealerships and customers with sales and installation of aftermarket products and truck accessories.  McRee Ford has been family owned and operated for the past 61 years, making them one of the oldest family owned dealerships in the nation.  McRee Ford has a reputation for their attention to customer service and satisfaction, both in the sales and service departments.  Ford Motor Company has awarded the Presidents Award for customer satisfaction to the dealership sixteen times! McRee Ford strives to provide the highest level of customer satisfaction to all customers.  It is the hope of the McRee family, that all customers will proudly say…
